Accidental Junkin'

This past weekend I intended just to check out an estate sale near my house, but circumstances kept having me stumble onto other yard sales and before Saturday was over I had spent a grand total of $46 on some sweet deals.

Such as:

An un-used bread maker, for the Spud, and

a green glass bottle for me;


 

a little storage bench

TWO BLUE JADITE BOWLS

FOR 50 CENTS EACH

Yes, 50 cents!

They were stacked in amongst lots of old pots, but

I have the instincts of a truffle-seeking pig when

it comes to great finds.

Lesseee.....oh, yeah, I got

a chair for $2

and some shutters

I was going to paint the chair but

the worn patina grew on me,

especially after I had washed

it in vinegar and water, then

polished it with baby oil.



I think the Baby will want this one.

The final purchase of the weekend was

four of these:

Four antique Bentwood chairs for $20

My sister says I have an antiquing angel

hanging with me.
